Job Title: Applications Architect

 

Location: REMOTE (Tallahassee, FL)- candidate to be onsite for meetings and presentations on select days throughout the month at DCF HQW

 

Duration: W2-Contract (Only GC and USC)

 

Mode of Interview: Web Cam Interview Only

 
Primary Job Duties and Tasks
  • Work as an Enterprise Architect / Portfolio level architect synthesizing inputs (such as plans, architectures/design) from various sources, and providing vision and guidance to teams
  • 3-5-year planning / roadmap for architectural needs based on corporate strategic plan
  • Provide thought leadership on Solutions in Application Architecture, DevOps, Cloud Transformations, Maintenance and improve qualities of applications
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define solutions, best practices
  • Review solution implementations
  • Mentor development staff on solutions, best practices
  • Coach / Mentor the teams
  • Conduct Proof of Value and Concept projects as required
  • Create Architectural solutions and secure buy-in from stakeholders
  • Keep abreast of technologies, tools and best practices in related areas
  • Manage an enterprise architecture through modeling software to ensure that an accurate picture of the people, process and technology aspects of the company are well-documented and usable by enterprise architecture stakeholders
  2.1. Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, MBA or related field preferred 2. IT and Software development experience of 15+ years
  • Experience in developing, supporting and administering Cloud based software development platforms
  • Experience working at an Enterprise level as an Enterprise or Portfolio level architect
  • Knowledge/Experience in Cloud Transformation (However, this is not primarily a cloud architect position)
  • Knowledge/experience in Cloud-native applications
  • IT Leadership Collaboration: Focus on streamlining dependencies and processes across all IT functions
  • Manage an enterprise architecture through modeling software to ensure that an accurate picture of the people, process and technology aspects of the company are well-documented and usable by enterprise architecture stakeholders
  • Experience in working with large IT teams to execute and lead successful project implementations
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced, high velocity, environment; ability to stay focused on responsibilities, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • Ability to drive effective meetings: workshops, design, and problem-solving sessions.
  • Ability to present ideas in business friendly and user-friendly language; demonstrated aptitude for working with, supporting and communicating with users and customers.
