Job Description
Minimum Qualifications: Candidate Must Meet All Minimum Qualifications
• Expert level/Minimum three (3) years’ experience in:
o ETL development using on-premises and cloud tools.
o Python, R, T-SQL, and/or PL/SQL.
o Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Lake Storage
o Design and implement data pipelines following Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers)
• Advance level/Minimum one (1) year’ experience in:
o On-premises databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
o Power BI and Power BI data modeling.
• Minimum one (1) year’ experience in:
o Data modeling and data warehouse design and architecture for on-premises and cloud environments.
o Data governance, validation, monitoring, and lineage management.
Duties, Scope of Work, and/or Milestones We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst Programmer with at least 3 years of professional experience in designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines and analytics solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong ETL expertise, hands-on experience with Azure data services, solid data modeling and warehouse design skills, and a strong commitment to data quality, governance, and compliance. Milestone Deliverables:
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using both on-premises and cloud-based tools, including IBM InfoSphere DataStage, Microsoft SSIS, and Azure Data Factory (ADF), based on the project plan.
• Build and manage scalable data pipelines and storage solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Lake Storage, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and retrieval, based on the project plan.
• Develop and optimize data solutions using Python, R, T-SQL, and PL/SQL to support analytics, reporting, and downstream applications.
• Work with traditional on-premises relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2, including performance tuning and data integration.
• Design and implement data models, data warehouses, and architectural frameworks that support enterprise reporting and analytics needs.
• Create and maintain Power BI datasets, data models, and reports, ensuring optimized performance and accurate business insights.
Daily/Weekly expectations:
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability across all data pipelines by implementing validation, monitoring, and governance processes.
• Support trustworthy and compliant data analytics by maintaining traceable data lineage and enforcing governance standards throughout the data lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and data consumers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
• Deliver weekly progress reports for development team code review.
• Analyze and correct technical issues as found, providing weekly bug status updates.
• Maintain and communicate status of work performed bi-weekly at minimum.
Preferred/Special Skills:
• Experience supporting predictive analytics or advanced analytics workloads.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data governance and monitoring frameworks.
• Demonstrates professional organization, documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. Estimated Duration of Job:
