Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable data engineering solutions using Azure cloud technologies and modern data platforms.

  • Build and maintain enterprise-grade ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.

  • Develop high-performance data processing solutions using Python, Spark, and SQL for large-scale analytics and reporting.

  • Design and optimize data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud-based data platforms to support business intelligence initiatives.

  • Develop data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows using Azure Data Factory and related Azure services.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile and DevOps methodologies to deliver high-quality data solutions.

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, and Terraform.

  • Support data governance, data privacy, and metadata management initiatives using Informatica Axon, EDC, and BigID.

  • Optimize SQL queries, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure data quality, security, and performance.

  • Develop dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI and collaborate with analytics teams.
Required Skills

  • 6–7+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Development using Agile, DevOps, and Product-based delivery models.

  • Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and PySpark for large-scale data processing.

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Event Hub, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps.

  • Experience developing cloud-native data engineering solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.

  • Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT development, and Data Lake architectures.

  • Experience with databases including Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, MongoDB, Cassandra, Azure Data Explorer (ADX), and ADLS.

  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, and Terraform.

  • Experience with BI and Analytics tools including Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, Alteryx, Denodo, and Grafana.

  • Knowledge of Data Governance and Privacy tools such as Informatica Axon, EDC, and BigID.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Azure Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics (ASA), Azure Functions, and Azure Data Explorer (ADX).

  • Experience building enterprise-scale data lakes and cloud-native analytics platforms.

  • Knowledge of orchestration tools including Azure Data Factory and IBM Tivoli.

  • Experience supporting large-scale data migration and modernization initiatives.

  • Exposure to Power Apps and enterprise reporting solutions.

  • Experience working in Agile product teams with DevOps best practices.
