Job Title: Clinical Analytics Lead

Location: Remote (Travel to New Brunswick, Canada once per month required)

Duration: 2 Years + Possible Extension

Client: Department of Health – Clinical Information Solution (Symbio Program)

 

Job Summary

The Department of Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Analytics Lead to support the implementation of the Provincial Clinical Information System (CIS) as part of the Symbio Program. This individual will play a critical leadership role in building and scaling Clinical Informatics teams across the province by leading workforce planning, organizational development, recruitment, onboarding, stakeholder engagement, and workforce readiness initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in healthcare transformation, clinical informatics, workforce planning, organizational design, and large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Clinical Information System (CIS) implementations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Workforce Planning & Organizational Development
  • Develop and maintain Clinical Informatics workforce plans aligned with program implementation timelines.
  • Design future-state Clinical Informatics organizational structures.
  • Develop staffing models, workforce forecasts, and resource deployment strategies.
  • Create role descriptions, competency frameworks, onboarding plans, and career pathways.
  • Support organizational growth and workforce scalability.

 

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts for Clinical Informatics resources.
  • Partner with Human Resources and healthcare leadership to streamline hiring activities.
  • Develop recruitment strategies and talent pipelines.
  • Participate in candidate screening, interviews, evaluations, and hiring recommendations.
  • Recruit clinical and informatics professionals from local, national, and international markets.

 

Onboarding & Workforce Readiness
  • Design and implement standardized onboarding programs.
  • Coordinate orientation sessions and role-specific training.
  • Ensure successful integration of new resources into Clinical Informatics teams.
  • Support workforce readiness and deployment planning across implementation phases.

 

Clinical Informatics Program Development
  • Establish foundational processes and operating models for Clinical Informatics.
  • Develop governance structures and best practices.
  • Support communities of practice, mentorship programs, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Clinical Informatics capabilities.

 

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with Clinical Leadership, Human Resources, Program Management, Operational Leaders, and Regional Health Authorities.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and organizational alignment.
  • Identify workforce risks, capacity constraints, and mitigation strategies.
  • Support communication, governance, and organizational readiness initiatives.

 

Change Management & Clinical Adoption
  • Support organizational readiness and clinical adoption activities.
  • Coordinate workforce readiness aligned with CIS implementation.
  • Assist with training coordination, change management, and adoption planning.
  • Participate in go-live planning and post-implementation stabilization activities.

 

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in workforce planning, organizational design, or staffing strategy within healthcare.
  • Minimum 5 years supporting large-scale Clinical Information System (CIS), Electronic Health Record (EHR), Electronic Medical Record (EMR), or Digital Health transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience leading recruitment, onboarding, and workforce scaling initiatives.
  • Experience developing staffing models, workforce forecasts, and deployment strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience across healthcare organizations.
  • Experience supporting organizational readiness and workforce development initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience establishing or expanding Clinical Informatics organizations.
  • Experience with provincial or enterprise healthcare transformation programs.
  • Experience developing competency frameworks and career pathways.
  • Experience designing recruitment strategies and workforce pipelines.
  • Experience implementing onboarding and workforce readiness programs.
  • Strong background in change management and clinical adoption.
  • Experience working with multiple healthcare organizations or Regional Health Authorities.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system.
  • Bilingual (English/French) communication skills are highly preferred.
  • Previous experience with New Brunswick or Canadian public healthcare organizations is an asset.
