Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure initiatives under the BoW2026 program. This role requires strong project governance, technical infrastructure expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex enterprise environment.
The selected candidate will work closely with multiple departments across Santander CIB’s NY office and must possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end infrastructure project planning and execution for BoW2026
- Develop comprehensive project plans from high-level strategy to detailed technical execution
- Define milestones, activities, effort estimates, duration, and required skill sets per activity
- Manage multiple concurrent priorities effectively
- Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation and workaround strategies
- Drive initiatives related to:
- Disaster Recovery (DR)
- Infrastructure obsolescence management
- System hardening
- Security monitoring
- Vulnerability patching
- Ensure adherence to governance frameworks and enterprise standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Operate within ITIL-based processes including Change, Incident, and Service Management
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in Infrastructure Project Management
- Proven expertise in Project Planning and Project Governance
- Hands-on experience with DR, security hardening, vulnerability patching, and infrastructure lifecycle management
- Strong technical background in System Engineering / IT Operations
- Demonstrated experience managing risks proactively
- Experience working within an ITIL-based environment
