Key Responsibilities

Lead deep-dive assessments across 15 SYS IDs during Sprint 24.
-
Design L2 sequence diagrams and data-flow diagrams for all Tier 1 SYS IDs.
-
Define IBM MQ RDQM queue topology and message-ordering strategies based on business processes.
-
Design current-state to target-state transition architectures for each SYS ID.
-
Define near-term Oracle AQ / IBM MQ RDQM and long-term Confluent Kafka migration patterns.
-
Define appropriate service boundaries for SYS IDs where application refactoring is recommended.
-
Assess the Spring Boot application migration path for each Java engine.
-
Document Autosys batch job inventories per SYS ID and validate lift-and-shift approaches to EC2.
-
Create current-state and target-state architecture comparison diagrams.
-
Define OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) deployment architecture, including pod sizing, resource quotas, and namespace strategy.
-
Provide technical leadership for Java/Spring Boot application architecture and modernization.
-
Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to define scalable and reliable target architectures.

8+ years of Java, Spring Boot development, and architecture experience.
-
Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
-
Production experience with IBM MQ and message-driven middleware.
-
Strong expertise with OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), specifically self-managed OCP rather than ROSA.
-
Experience with Confluent Kafka architecture and long-term migration planning.
-
Strong understanding of event-driven patterns including Pub/Sub, Request/Reply, and Saga.
-
Understanding of Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migration.
-
Experience with Autosys job scheduling.
-
Strong experience creating architectural diagrams, sequence diagrams, data-flow diagrams, and current/target-state designs.
-
Strong architecture and technical leadership skills.

Mandatory Skills: Architectural Diagrams, Java, Spring Boot.

Experience with ActiveMQ.

Experience with Oracle AQ and IBM MQ RDQM.

Experience designing Kafka migration strategies from traditional messaging platforms.
