Job Description
Title: Java Developer with AWS
Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid)

Required Experience
· 8-12 years of software engineering experience
· Strong background in both C and Java application development
· Proven experience migrating legacy applications to modern platforms
· Handson experience designing and implementing DynamoDB solutions
· Experience working with SQL databases query optimisation and data modelling
· Experience building or integrating cloud native applications on AWS
· Prior experience in financial services account management or balance processing systems preferred
Key Responsibilities
· Application Modernisation
· Analyse existing C codebase business logic and system dependencies
· Migrate calculation engines and business rules from C to Java while maintaining functional equivalence
· Refactor and optimise legacy code for maintainability scalability and performance
· Translate and modernise SQL based database access layers and data retrieval logic
· Account Balance Service Integration
· Integrate migrated Java components into the Account Balance Service architecture
· Ensure seamless interaction between application services databases and downstream systems
· Support application deployment within containerised environments running on AWS ECS
· Troubleshoot and resolve performance integration and functional issues
· DynamoDB Cache Design Implementation
· Design and implement a scalable balance caching framework using DynamoDB
· Define caching architecture data models partition key strategies and consistency requirements
· Develop cache refresh invalidation and synchronisation mechanisms
· Optimise DynamoDB performance throughput and cost efficiency
· Establish monitoring and operational best practices for cache management
· Software Engineering Delivery
· Participate in architecture reviews design discussions and code reviews
· Create technical designs migration strategies and implementation documentation
· Collaborate with architects business analysts infrastructure teams and stakeholders
· Follow Agile development practices and contribute to sprint planning and delivery
