Key Responsibilities

Analyze existing C/C++ codebases, business logic, and system dependencies.
-
Migrate calculation engines and business rules from C/C++ to Java while maintaining functional equivalence.
-
Refactor and optimize legacy applications for maintainability, scalability, and performance.
-
Modernize SQL-based database access layers and data retrieval logic.
-
Integrate migrated Java components into Account Balance Service architectures.
-
Ensure seamless interaction between application services, databases, and downstream systems.
-
Support application deployment in containerized environments using AWS ECS.
-
Design and implement scalable DynamoDB balance-caching solutions.
-
Define DynamoDB data models, partition key strategies, consistency requirements, and caching architecture.
-
Develop cache refresh, invalidation, and synchronization mechanisms.
-
Optimize DynamoDB performance, throughput, and cost efficiency.
-
Establish monitoring and operational best practices for cache management.
-
Troubleshoot and resolve performance, integration, and functional issues.

Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and code reviews.
-
Create technical designs, migration strategies, and implementation documentation.
-
Collaborate with architects, business analysts, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders.

Follow Agile development practices and contribute to sprint planning and delivery.

8–12 years of software engineering experience.

Strong Java development experience.
-
Strong C/C++ application development experience.
-
Experience migrating legacy applications to modern platforms.
-
Advanced SQL and database design skills, including query optimization.
-
Hands-on experience designing and implementing DynamoDB solutions.
-
Experience with AWS cloud-native applications and architectures.
-
Strong knowledge of REST APIs and microservices architecture.
-
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Design Patterns.
-
Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
-
Experience with AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service).
-
Strong understanding of AWS cloud fundamentals and containerization concepts.
-
Mandatory Skills: C++, DynamoDB, Java, Oracle PL/SQL.

Experience with Spring Boot.
-
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/ECS.
-
Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
-
Experience with AWS Lambda.
-
Experience with AWS CloudWatch.
-
Experience with JUnit or other unit testing frameworks.

Experience in financial services, particularly account management or balance processing systems.

Experience modernizing legacy applications and migrating calculation engines/business rules to Java.

Experience developing scalable caching frameworks using DynamoDB.
