Job Title: LabWare LIMS Senior SME / Consultant Client: Laurel, MD 20707 Location: Onsite – Monday to Friday Duration: Long-Term Contract (August 2026 through Production Go-Live & Post-Implementation Support) Job Summary WSSC Water is seeking an experienced LabWare LIMS Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the implementation and deployment of its new LabWare Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The consultant will work closely with internal IT teams, laboratory personnel, and LabWare implementation partners to configure, customize, test, and successfully deploy the new LIMS solution. This role requires deep expertise in LabWare LIMS v8, particularly with the Contract Lab Template (CLT) and Enterprise Water Component Template (EWT) in regulated laboratory environments. Key Responsibilities Configure, customize, and implement LabWare LIMS based on business and laboratory requirements. Lead the deployment and customization of the Contract Lab Template (CLT) and Enterprise Water Component Template (EWT). Integrate laboratory instruments with LabWare LIMS for automated data collection. Develop Crystal Reports, dashboards, and analytical reports. Configure quality management components including stability studies, quality control, and control charting. Support unit testing, system integration testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployment. Troubleshoot technical issues throughout implementation and post-go-live. Create technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for internal IT and LIMS administrators. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and laboratory best practices. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in: Computer Science Information Technology Chemistry Biology Environmental Science Or a related technical discipline LabWare Administration/Configuration Certifications are highly preferred. Experience 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and administering LabWare LIMS. Strong experience delivering full lifecycle LabWare LIMS implementations. Experience working within regulated laboratory environments. Water or wastewater laboratory experience is highly preferred.
