Job Description

Job Title: Lead SQL DBA

Location: Lansing, MI (Onsite Role)

Duration: 6+ months Contract

Job Description:

Responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems.
Manage SQL Server databases including SQL Version 2008, 2008 R2, 2012,2014,2016,2017, 2019
Configure and maintain database servers and processes
Experienced with backups, restores and recovery models
Monitor system's health and performance
Experienced on handling Cloud databases like Azure, AWS EC2 instances is added advantage
Oracle knowledge / hands on experience expected
Hands on with data management within Snowflake environment is additional bonus
Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
Experienced with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
Provide suggestions for solutions
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
Provide primary support for critical, complex production db’s
Work closely with internal teams during incidents resolutions and root cause analysis
Coordinate interaction with different internal teams, create service tickets and escalating as needed to ensure timely resolution
