Position Overview
The Network Security Engineer will support the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of secure enterprise network environments. This role involves planning and executing network security engineering initiatives, leading migrations to next‑generation platforms, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring high availability of secure data communications systems.
This is a hybrid position requiring onsite presence several days per week, with flexibility for remote work depending on performance and project needs. Occasional rapid onsite response may be required.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify organizational network security requirements and contribute to secure architecture and solution design.
- Perform project‑based engineering, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of secure network environments.
- Deliver assessment, design, and implementation services for network and data security solutions.
- Develop detailed design documentation, diagrams, and implementation plans.
- Support capacity planning, monitoring, and maintenance of secure network systems.
- Lead or assist in migration from legacy security platforms to modern/next‑generation solutions.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to troubleshoot critical network security issues.
- Implement configuration standards, security best practices, change management, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with team members to resolve user issues efficiently.
- Provide weekly status updates detailing milestones, progress, and upcoming tasks.
- Facilitate weekly or ad‑hoc status meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree.
- Active certifications:
- Palo Alto: PCNSA or Palo Alto Network Security Professional.
- Cisco: CCNA Enterprise or CCNA Security.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of technical experience in IT networking and network security.
- Associate degree in an IT‑related field.
- Certifications (active or expired within 3 years):
- Palo Alto: PCNSE, NGFW Engineer, or Network Security Analyst.
- Cisco: CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security.
