Role Title: OpCon Workload Automation Administrator
Fully Remote
Full time
Salary: $100K annually + PTO Without medical insurance.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in workload automation and batch operations.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
- Extensive hands-on experience with OpCon Workload Automation for designing, configuring, managing, scheduling, operating, and supporting mission-critical batch workflows in legacy and distributed/cloud-hosted environments.
- Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and versioning OpCon Workload Automation, including importing/exporting job configurations between environments.
- Experience working with OpCon product vendors to resolve product-related issues and implement patches.
- Strong experience with Unix Shell Scripting to configure and manage batch jobs.
- Experience coordinating with application technical and functional teams to troubleshoot batch failures and provide batch execution reporting.
- Experience configuring batch execution dashboards and custom alerts based on exit codes for production monitoring.
- Experience using Azure DevOps to log incidents, escalate issues, track resolutions, and maintain a knowledge base.
- Experience with AWS PostgreSQL RDS databases and AWS cloud resources.
- Strong SQL development and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Splunk for monitoring batch execution cycles is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare batch process enhancement/change request documentation and provide effort estimates.
- Build, maintain, and execute 200+ production batch jobs using OpCon.
- Manage and maintain scheduling activities within the OpCon Workload Automation environment.
- Organize batch jobs into efficient and manageable schedules.
- Monitor and optimize batch job performance for reliable execution.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and assist development teams in debugging batch framework issues.
- Manage user accounts, security settings, and system administration tasks.
- Perform Unix shell scripting, debugging, process monitoring, and production support.
- Write and optimize simple to complex SQL queries.
- Create and maintain Splunk indexes for SFTP projects to improve batch monitoring through web dashboards.
- Generate and send daily batch execution status reports to the client and publish project reports.
- Support production batch operations and ensure timely resolution of batch-related incidents.
