Job Title: Oracle Apps DBA (Oracle EBS Application DBA)
Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
Work Mode: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months (Contract)
Role Overview
Enterprise Solutions Inc is seeking a highly skilled Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Application DBA to support and manage critical enterprise systems. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise in Oracle applications, database administration, and cloud infrastructure, along with the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle E-Business Suite Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle EBS environments
- Apply patches, perform upgrades, and troubleshoot application issues
- Ensure optimal performance and stability of EBS applications
Database Administration
- Manage Oracle databases with strong expertise in Core DBA concepts
- Administer Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, and Data Guard environments
- Perform backup & recovery, performance tuning, and capacity planning
Infrastructure & Cloud Management
- Manage environments on Oracle Exadata Cloud Service (ExaCS) and OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)
- Perform Linux system administration for database servers
Third-Party Integrations
- Support integrations between Oracle EBS and third-party applications
- Troubleshoot cross-platform issues affecting system performance
Leadership & Coordination
- Act as a technical lead for DBA activities
- Coordinate with application teams, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders
- Provide mentoring and enforce best practices
Operational Excellence
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness
- Implement security standards and compliance requirements
- Maintain system documentation and operational procedures
Required Skills & Experience
- 7–10 years of experience as an Oracle Apps DBA
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
- Expertise in:
- Oracle RAC
- ASM
- RMAN
- Data Guard
- Experience with Oracle Exadata (Exadata/ExaCS)
- Strong knowledge of OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration
- Experience in handling complex production environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and client-facing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle certifications (OCP, OCI Architect, etc.)
- Experience with automation and scripting (Shell, Python, etc.)
- Prior experience in a technical lead or senior DBA role
Exposure to large-scale enterprise Oracle environments
