Job Description
Role: Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)
Location- 3 days/week onsite in Indianapolis, IN 46204
Full-Time employment
Salary: As per market

Required Skills
- 5–7 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA).
- Proven track record of executing at least one complex database migration, preferably involving Exadata platforms or on-premises-to-cloud migrations.
- Experience configuring advanced Oracle Data Guard environments.
- Experience configuring and testing automated database switchovers and failovers using Data Guard Broker to ensure minimal-downtime cutovers.
- Experience with Oracle GoldenGate installation, including configuring Extracts and Replicats.
- Experience designing and maintaining enterprise backup architectures using RMAN, including optimization of channel parallelism, SECTION SIZE, and Block Change Tracking (BCT).
- Proven experience planning and executing quarterly full-stack Exadata patching, including:
- Oracle Database
- Grid Infrastructure (GI)
- Storage Cell Software
- InfiniBand/RoCE Switches
- Server Firmware
- Experience with Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, and 19c.
- Strong knowledge of logical and physical database design and data modeling.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for database issues, including deadlocks, application locks, waits, and contention.
- Strong SQL performance tuning skills for inefficient queries.
- Experience with database performance tuning using AWR and ADDM reports.
- Experience managing multiple Oracle databases while supporting development, testing, and performance environments.
- Strong PL/SQL development skills, including:
- Stored Procedures
- Packages
- Triggers
- Views
- Experience writing Shell and Batch scripts for:
- Database backups
- Schema refreshes
- Wait and lock alerts
- Maintenance jobs
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) monitoring and alerting.
- Experience using Oracle Data Pump utilities.
- Experience with capacity planning and user management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day Oracle database operations.
- Maintain database schemas, objects, and security standards.
- Monitor and maintain Oracle database environments.
- Support multiple application teams, releases, and projects.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve database performance bottlenecks.
- Perform user administration, schema refreshes, and routine database maintenance.
- Ensure database availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
- Support database migrations, patching, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure efficient database operations and project delivery.
