Job Description


Key Responsibilities:
  • Must have experience in PostgreSQL Database Administration
  • Good to have experience in Additional OpenSource DB Technologies like MySQL or MongoDB
  • Must have experience in Database Migrations & Upgrades
  • Cross-Platform Heterogeneous Database Migrations
  • Strong knowledge in Installing/configuring/Managing Databases, HA, DR
  • Strong Knowledge in Installing/administration on Unix & Windows Platform
  • Optimizes system/database operations and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Database performance tuning at system and application levels, for dev and production databases• Design and manage database security, roles, and profiles.
  • Design and Implement disaster recovery plans.
  • Support all non-production databases including installation, upgrade, backup, recovery, database refresh, and multi-language support.
  • Provide support and direction to developers with troubleshooting and performance tuning as needed.
  • Follow change management process and participate in related meetings.
  • Create and maintain database architecture and standards following Oracle Best practices for physical structures, logical databases, user management.
  • Integrate/collaborate with application development and support teams on various IT projects.
  • Follow the existing processes for SOX/PCI databases.
  • Flexible to work in 24 * 7 Project/Support.
