Role: Product Owner – P&C Insurance
Location: Remote (Mexico)
We’re seeking a strategic, detail‑oriented Product Owner to lead the vision, roadmap, and delivery of P&C insurance products. This role requires a strong balance of business insight, technical understanding, and Agile leadership. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to translate complex needs into scalable solutions that drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and customer value.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Vision & Strategy:
- Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for P&C insurance solutions.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise priorities, portfolio goals, and regulatory requirements.
- Establish product KPIs, track performance, and balance near‑term needs with long‑term investments.
Requirements, Backlog & Documentation:
- Gather and validate business and customer needs through interviews, workshops, and process analysis.
- Maintain a well‑prioritized product backlog; write clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Evaluate feasibility, cost of delay, business value, and compliance impact to guide prioritization.
Cross‑Functional & Technical Collaboration:
- Serve as the voice of the customer while working with underwriting, actuarial, compliance, technology, architecture, and data teams.
- Clarify requirements, remove roadblocks, and ensure product alignment with business outcomes and system dependencies across rating, underwriting, and policy platforms.
Agile Leadership & Delivery:
- Lead core Agile ceremonies: quarterly planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
- Partner daily with Agile squads to maintain alignment, communicate priorities, and drive on‑time delivery of features and capabilities.
Porfolio & Release Management
- Identify reusable capabilities across product portfolios and reduce duplication.
- Coordinate production releases, ensuring accurate deployment and effective stakeholder communication.
JD:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Solid experience working within Agile environments and applying Agile principles effectively.
- Strong teamwork, coordination, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent analytical and documentation abilities; able to translate complex business needs into a clear, actionable product backlog.
