Title: Programmer Analyst III
Location: St. Louis, MO (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite, 2 Days Remote)
Job Type: Direct Hire / Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Programmer Analyst III to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise applications that drive critical business operations. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions while ensuring system reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Microsoft .NET technologies, enterprise web application development, relational databases, and application support within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions.
Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.
Develop and enhance web-based applications using C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, and related technologies.
Build and maintain web services, APIs, and service-oriented applications.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application and system issues.
Design, optimize, and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases, including PL/SQL and T-SQL development.
Create technical specifications, system documentation, workflow diagrams, and design documents.
Participate in application architecture, software design, and system modernization initiatives.
Perform application upgrades, enhancements, and production support activities.
Evaluate existing business processes and recommend technology improvements to increase efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Ensure applications follow organizational development standards, security guidelines, and best practices.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
Assist with user training, knowledge transfer, and implementation of new systems.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
Strong experience developing enterprise applications using:
C#
ASP.NET
ASP.NET MVC
Microsoft Visual Studio
Experience with modern .NET technologies, including .NET 5/6 or later.
Strong knowledge of Oracle databases and PL/SQL.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
Experience developing and consuming Web Services, SOAP, WCF, and APIs.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
Experience with source control tools such as Git/GitHub.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Entity Framework.
Experience building Progressive Web Applications (PWA).
Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Experience with XML and LINQ.
Familiarity with WordPress or other Content Management Systems.
Experience with Microsoft Visio.
Exposure to transit or workforce management applications such as Trapeze or GIRO HASTUS.
Experience working in Agile software development environments.
