Key Responsibilities

Upgrade Python packages across supported runtime versions.

Resolve dependency, API, import, packaging, and automated test failures.

Update package metadata and internal build configurations.

Reconcile local patches and diagnose CI/presubmit failures.

Validate Python package upgrades across supported environments.
-
Maintain technical documentation related to package upgrades and integrations.
-
Troubleshoot compatibility and build issues involving third-party Python packages.
-
Support integration and maintenance of open-source Python packages.
-
5–8 years of professional Python development experience.
-
Strong Python development and debugging skills.
-
Hands-on experience with pip, PyPI, Python wheels, virtual environments, and Python packaging.

Experience with pytest or equivalent testing frameworks.
-
Strong understanding of dependency resolution and version compatibility.

Experience with Git, Linux, scripting, CI/CD, and log analysis.

Experience maintaining or integrating open-source packages.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to Python package builds and automated testing.

Experience with setuptools and Poetry.

Experience with native C-extension builds.

Experience with Bazel and Copybara.
