Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior SAP Record to Report (RTR) Lead Consultant with strong expertise across SAP Finance (FI) and end-to-end Record-to-Report processes. This role serves as the functional lead for RTR delivery, partnering closely with Finance, business stakeholders, and technology teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and well-controlled financial close and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end Record to Report processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Banking, and Financial Close; Experience on RAR is needed
• Act as the RTR functional lead for enhancements, incidents, month-end close support, and change requests.
• Translate finance and accounting requirements into SAP functional designs aligned with standard SAP best practices.
• Partner closely with OTC, P2P, and other upstream/downstream teams to ensure accurate financial integration.
• Support statutory, management, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Lead solution discussions, design reviews, and stakeholder workshops with Finance leadership.
• Support production issues with strong accounting-based root-cause analysis.
• Mentor junior consultants and support global onshore/offshore delivery models.
Required Experience & Skills
• 15+ years of SAP experience with strong focus on SAP FI / Record to Report; Experience on RAR is needed
• Hands-on expertise in G/L, A/P, A/R, Fixed Assets, Banking, and period close activities.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles; ability to lead T-accounting and financial discussions.
• Working knowledge of integrated modules such as SD (OTC), MM (P2P), and CO.
• Proven experience in lead or senior consultant roles with delivery ownership.
• Strong communication skills with Finance and IT stakeholders.
Nice to Have
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance or ECC to S/4HANA transitions.
• Exposure to global finance operations (US, EU statutory requirements).
• Experience supporting audits, controls, and compliance initiatives.
Work Arrangement
• Onsite / Hybrid role with regular collaboration with Finance leadership.
• Works closely with global delivery teams and business stakeholders.
