Job Description
Position Summary
Client is seeking an experienced SQL Server Data Architect / Database Developer to design and implement a centralized Vegetation Management Database (VMD). The system will serve as the enterprise repository for vegetation management historical and operational data, supporting analytics, forecasting, dashboards, scorecards, and decision-making.
The consultant will be responsible for database architecture, data migration, integration with external systems, reporting solutions, predictive analytics, and enabling business users through secure low-code/no-code maintenance capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Database Design & Architecture
- Design scalable SQL Server architecture.
- Create logical and physical data models.
- Define tables, relationships, primary/foreign keys, indexes, and constraints.
- Establish metadata standards and naming conventions.
- Design staging, curated, reference, and reporting layers.

2. Data Migration & Integration
- Load historical vegetation management data.
- Cleanse, standardize, and transform source data.
- Validate completeness and accuracy.
