Implement secure, scalable data ingestion pipelines in Azure Government, supporting hybrid VPN connectivity, cross-tenant ingestion, and incremental ELT processes.
Required Experience:
- 6–8+ years data engineering experience
- 4+ years Azure Data Factory / Synapse experience
- Experience with VPN-based hybrid data ingestion
- Strong SQL Server background
- Experience handling sensitive public-sector data
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement on-prem SQL Server ingestion over VPN
- Configure self-hosted integration runtime or gateway
- Validate connectivity and throughput
- Build incremental load pipelines
- Implement cross-tenant Pathways ingestion
- Configure secure credentials via Azure Key Vault
- Implement data validation and reconciliation checks
- Set up monitoring and alerting baseline
- Support security testing and performance testing
- Assist in reverse-feed implementation (if required)
- Document pipelines and operational procedures
