Summary:
You will work on a business-critical, cloud-native platform operating at scale, where engineering depth, automation, and AI-driven operations are key focus areas. The role offers a strong growth path into Platform Engineering, or Backend Engineering, while giving hands-on exposure to modern microservices, cloud, and intelligent operations.
You’ll be part of a team that believes support engineers should engineer solutions, not just react to incidents.

- Responsibilities:
- Provide L1.5 / L2 support for Java / Spring Boot microservices in a production environment.
- Own incident triage, deep-dive troubleshooting, RCA, and resolution for P1 / P2 / P3 issues.
- Work with AI-assisted monitoring and intelligent diagnostics to reduce MTTR.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across:
- REST APIs & Microservices
- Messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ)
- SQL & NoSQL databases
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, DevOps, QA, and SRE teams during incidents
- Execute deployments, hotfixes, configuration changes, and rollbacks using defined SOPs
- Create and continuously improve runbooks, SOPs, and operational playbooks
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, security, and compliance standards

Must Have Skills and/or Licenses Required to Perform the Job:
- 4–6 years of IT experience with strong exposure to production application support
- Hands-on experience supporting Java / Spring Boot applications
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and REST APIs
- Experience working in AWS environments, including:
- EC2, EKS, S3, SQS, Lambda, CloudWatch.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across:
Databases (SQL / NoSQL)
Messaging systems (Kafka / SQS / RabbitMQ)

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong communication skills and calm decision-making under pressure.
Optional Skills or Qualification (Nice to Have):
Experience in Data Analytics, Machine Learning
Experience in regulated environments (Healthcare, GxP, HIPAA, SaMD)
Knowledge of Redis or caching strategies
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code concepts
Experience creating operational documentation and runbooks
