Job Description
Role : Snowflake Data Architecture
Location : Mississauga, Canada
Role Type : Contract
Expected Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of Snowflake data architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data lakes on Snowflake.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop data solutions.
- Design and implement ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake and other tools.
- Ensure data quality, integrity across the organization.
- Develop and maintain data security and access controls.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and monitoring of Snowflake environments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay up-to-date with Snowflake features, best practices, and industry trends.
- Develop and manage documentation of data architecture, data models, and ETL processes.
- Participate in proof-of-concepts, pilots, and RFPs as needed.
- Ensure compliance with organizational data policies and industry regulations.
Requirements:
- 12-18 years of experience in data architecture, with a focus on cloud-based technologies.
- 5+ years of experience with Snowflake.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL, data governance, and data modeling.
- Understanding of SAP HANA objects.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
