Specialist – Quality Engineering (UAT Lead – Payments)

Job Summary
As a Specialist – Quality Engineering (UAT Lead – Payments), you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring flawless delivery of payment solutions within the banking and financial services sector. In this influential position, you will lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) initiatives, collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders to validate end-to-end payment processes—specifically in wires and ISO20022 payment standards. Your expertise will directly impact the quality and reliability of critical payment systems, driving high standards in a dynamic Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage UAT activities for key payment projects and releases.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to ensure a unified approach to testing.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases tailored to business and system requirements.
- Define UAT scope, timelines, and entry/exit criteria; champion risk-based testing methodologies.
- Execute thorough end-to-end, functional, non-functional, system integration, and regression testing across payment workflows.
- Manage defect lifecycle through tools like HP ALM and JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and closure.
- Provide clear, regular status updates and testing dashboards to all stakeholders.
- Facilitate UAT walkthroughs, progress meetings, and ensure timely sign-offs.
- Collaborate with business teams to clarify requirements and validate test results.
- Uphold high standards of documentation and reporting throughout the UAT process.

Key Skills & Required Experience

- 8–10 years in QA/Testing with proven UAT leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of banking and financial services.
- Hands-on expertise in Wires Payments and ISO20022 payment messages.
- Proficiency in test planning, strategy, case design, and execution.
- Experience with HP ALM, JIRA, or equivalent test management tools.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

- Participation in large-scale banking transformation or payments modernization programs.
- Exposure to automation within UAT environments.
