Job Title: WordPress Engineer
Duration: Long term contract
Location: New York, NY 10036 (Hybrid)
Job Description:
- This role includes creating custom themes and plugins. optimizing website performance for speed and scalability and ensuring security best practices are implemented.
- Work closely with designer’s front-end developers and project managers to translate client requirements into functional website.
- Additionally, provide technical leadership mentor junior developers and stay updated on the latest WordPress trends tools and technologies.
- A Senior WordPress Engineer also manages integrations with third-party services and APIs ensures cross browser compatibility and resolves complex technical issues
- Note This is not a web engineering role. Demonstrated competence with Wordpress development and the PHP programming language is the strong requirement for this role.
- Familiarity with JavaScript React HTML and CSS is required but this alone is not enough to meet these requirements for this role
